On the red carpet: Ankie Beilke (貝安琪) – 2014 HKIFF & AFA

The half-German, half-Chinese actress and model Ankie Beilke (貝安琪) hit red carpet events in Hong Kong and Macau this past week with her mother.  If Beilke’s name sounds vaguely familiar, that is because her mother is actress and film director Ankie Lau (劉香萍).

Beilke appeared at the opening ceremony of the 2014 Hong Kong International Film Festival on Mar. 24, then moved over to Macau where, on the 27th, she attended the 8th Asian Film Awards at the City of Dreams.  There, Beilke wore a structured, printed Vivienne Tam Spring 2014 evening gown that stood out among the parade of translucent chiffon and solid colors on other attendees.

Movie-wise, Beilke is best known for her turn in “Naked Soldier,” which also featured Sammo Hung and Anthony Wong.  She is currently filming the TVB series “Line Walker” (使徒行者).
