David Hart Spring 2017 – New York Fashion Week Men’s Review

If you happen to be near the water, perhaps surfing the day away, and afterwards, comfortably kick your feet up on a bar with a cocktail in one hand while completely blending into an ocean-view backdrop, then David Hart’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection is for you.

The designer’s ‘60s surf culture-inspired presentation at New York Fashion Week comprised fun tropical prints (palm tree silhouettes, hibiscus, and fern fronds) and solids in mustard yellow, burgundy, grass green, and ocean blues. Accent stripes and colorblocking dominated a basic polo shirt, blazer, and bermuda shorts. Unique pieces included the black and gold tribal-print formal suit and the color block palm print blazers. Shorts in cotton or linen can comfortably be worn in 90-degree F+ tropical weather.
