Bae Doona hits Seoul Fashion Week, wins award in Macau

Actress Bae Doona (배두나) (“Cloud Atlas,” “The Host”) appeared at two very different events in the span of three days: Seoul Fashion Week and the Asian Film Awards in Macau.

In Seoul, Bae headlined an eclectic front row at the pushBUTTON Fall 2015 “Do Love Me” runway show that also included the YG Bear mascot, actors Bae Jeong-nam (“The Berlin File”) and Jung Eun-chae (“Nobody’s Daughter Haewon”), and musician Kim C.  Some of the main VIPs in attendance donned outfits with what appeared to be a standard black and white houndstooth print that also featured in the collection.  Up close, this print was actually more playful in its execution, revealing numerous black and white bats.

Two days later, Bae attended the 9th Asian Film Awards in Macau, where she won the Best Actress Award for her performance in “A Girl at My Door.”  She beat five other nominees for that honor: Gong Li (“Coming Home”); Vicki Zhao Wei (“Dearest”);  Kalki Koechlin (“Margarita, With a Straw”); Rie Miyazawa (“Pale Moon”); and Tang Wei (“The Golden Era”).
