Munn Spring 2016 – Seoul Fashion Week

Pour a high schooler’s wardrobe of letter jackets, an executive’s diet of pinstriped suits, a dash of James Dean and the prints of artist Han Jae Yeol into a cauldron. Stir the brew, and what do you get? A parade of unisex outfits by the label Munn that provide an intriguing twist for Spring 2016. Appropriately named “Defamiliarization,” designer Han Hyun-min shook up classic staples, resulting in exaggerated and playful treatments such as floor-length vests and pinstriped coats complete with large slits for extra flair in movement.  Contrasting with the otherwise autumn-like blacks and grays was a prevalent – yet effective and carefully selected – use of pastels such as pink, yellow, blue and lavender.
