The United States played some of the most entertaining matches of the tournament, including a 21-21 draw against England where solid defensive plays in the final few minutes prevented a loss and preserved a Pool D win.  In the end, Australia had the stronger campaign, pulling away from the United States in the final to win the Plate at the Hong Kong Sevens 2015 by a score of 21-17.
