The colors white and gold may come as a bit unexpected when denim couture is concerned, but it is that element of surprise that keeps fans of G-Star Raw tightly in the Dutch fashion label’s clutches. Gone were the gimmicks (moving runways, strobe lights, philanthropic messages read out loud by celebrities) as well as the heavy, layered moodiness of past spring collections. The refreshing men’s and women’s looks instead showcased soft tanks, billowing coats and skirts, and space-age cropped tops.
