Nautica – New York Fashion Week Fall 2008 Review

The opening slide show montage featured scenes of sailboats cutting across the water, which at first glance was an odd sight for a men’s fall collection. It turned out, however, that the water was frozen and that the theme for Nautica’s collection was “Ice Sailing.” With this in mind, the company delivered a stylish and functional set of casual wear and sportswear well-suited for the season. Bright accents poked through the grays, browns, blacks and whites in Nautica’s crisp outerwear, which featured a wide variety of pieces from vests to peacoats to anoraks; even when these accents were used as the dominant colors, they didn’t overwhelm.
