Sass & Bide – New York Fashion Week Fall 2008
It was a bit of a surprise to see the normally reliable Australian duo Sass & Bide come up with a collection that resembled a macabre version of Carnival. Too many ruffles and rainbows spoiled what could have been some very stylish clothes, which seemed to have been inspired by sad clowns and colors from Wonder Bread packages. The accessories – fishnet stockings and shiny leggings – and tightly-coiled hairstyles didn’t help matters either. Better luck next season…
