Originally founded to revitalize a neighborhood affected by the Sept.
11 World Trade Center attacks, the Tribeca Film Festival has grown into
its own during its 5th anniversary. Here are a few nuggets in written,
photographic and spoken form from the two-week festival.
Keeping the Faith: The
numerous interpretations of faith under the Christian umbrella are manifested
in various sects and churches, but what happens when these specific viewpoints
are aired out to the world, outside of sanctuaries and onto the big screen?
A festival panel ("What Would Jesus Direct?") and a powerful
documentary ("Jesus Camp") shed a bit of light.
The Long Wait for "New York
Waiting": A review, an interview with director Joachim
Hedén and a few thoughts on the author's ties to a Swedish film
set in the Big Apple.
Don't be scared. It's only Hollywood.:
Tribeca may be a New York institution, but how can Hollywood not poke
its head into the festivities? A look at two hilarious films, one light

First Time"). (P.S. We have to credit E! for that tag line;
it was taken off a promo for their Hollywood Off-Ramp series years ago.)
Eugenia Yuan:

Tiger, Hidden Dragon") is coming into her own with a number of diverse
roles from both sides of the world. She talks about her role in "Choking
Man," her mother and her former life as a competitive athlete.

Jeff Goldblum, Nikki Reed, Holly Hunter and Rick Fox.
