Pink Tartan – Spring 2012 New York Fashion Week Review Pink Tartan’s rotating Spring 2012 presentation effectively used a square runway; models walked and posed at each corner, then repeated the run of show until the hour was complete. As a result, invitees had plenty of time to examine head designer Kimberley Newport-Mimran's fun looks featuring giant polka dots and stripes juxtaposed with sharp dress shirts and mini-dresses. Although the clothes were reminiscent of a conservative Brigitte Bardot with its crisp cuts-meets-swimwear styling (and accompanying teased hair for the models for added measure), the Pink Tartan label is actually Canadian, with its main flagship based in downtown Toronto.
