Edition by Georges Chakra Review – New York Fashion Week Spring 2010
Georges Chakra offered a very striking contrast to his Fall 2009 collection, nixing stiff fabrics for airy short dresses and evening gowns with unexpected twists, including draping, diagonal straps and giant pearl accents. At times, dresses were also accessorized with silver leather belts.
The last two of Chakra’s 46 looks ventured into more daring territory. He paired white mini-shorts with a long sheer organza dress complete with stones across the bustier and a stiff silver leather collar. His final outfit piled a multi-layered tulle skirt over a black plunging V-neck sequined jumpsuit.
