New York Fashion Week Fall 2010 coverage
Meniscus Magazine's coverage of the New York Fashion Week Fall 2010 collections - the city's last at Bryant Park - included a number of shows featuring veterans (Anna Sui, Isaac Mizrahi), upstarts (Prabal Gurung) and tributes (Arise Magazine's third edition of African fashion, and Naomi Campbell's last-minute benefit for Haiti earthquake victims that doubled as a farewell to Alexander McQueen). Here, in its entirety, is our look back in pictures and words, and a look ahead to what will hit the shelves this fall.
Articles: Preview: Custo Barcelona, Rebecca Taylor, Academy of Art University, Feral Childe: The sketches, the photos and the inspirations behind a number of designers' Fall 2010 collections. Reviews: Andy & Debb: With Andy & Debb, a woman is not necessarily going to find a show-stopping red carpet number, but a safe, comfortable and classic piece for a day in the office or a cocktail party. eryn brinié: Mounting snowfall did little to steer away fashionistas from the presentation, which included dozens of versatile neutral pieces equally suitable for business and leisure. Tony Cohen: The designer featured his usual trademarks of dark colors and draping. Thankfully, another of his trademarks is that he designs clothes that women will very much want to wear.
