WNBA 2018: Mystics respond valiantly but fall short to the Sparks, 97-86

June 15, 2018,  Capital One Arena, Washington, D.C. – Behind by 20 points in the third quarter, the Washington Mystics amazingly outplayed the Los Angeles Sparks, 38-18, in just 12 minutes and actually caught up with them, tying the game at 76-76 with less than six minutes to go. Unfortunately, the Mystics were unable to maintain their intensity, eventually losing to the Sparks, 97-86.

The Sparks’ Candace Parker was the game’s high scorer with 23 points. She also tied her career-high in assists with 11. Elena Delle Donne was the Mystics’ highest scorer with 18 points.  LaToya Sanders had 11 rebounds.
