Morocco, Haiti win awards at 2017 Embassy Chef Challenge in D.C.

The 2017 Embassy Chef Challenge took place in Washington, D.C., on May 24.  Chefs representing 34 different countries competed for the Judges’ Choice and People’s Choice Awards.

The Judges’ Choice Award was given to Chef Moha Fedal of Morocco (second from left). Fedal is the head chef of Dar Moha in Marrakech. Chef Cynthia Verna (second from right) from Haiti won the People’s Choice Award. Verna, a resident of Miami, runs her own catering business, Chef Thia’s Cuisine.
