Blanc de Chine Fall 2013 – New York Fashion Week

Inspiration: The city of Dunhuang (also the title of the Blanc de Chine Fall 2013 men’s and women’s collection), located in the northwest province of Gansu in China.  For the women, this specifically focused on a key feature of Dunhuang art, a female spirit of the clouds called an Apsaras.  The men’s collection featured Tang Dynasty robes.
