It turned out that Italian denim label Diesel’s Black Gold Spring 2012 collection, which hit the runway in September at New York Fashion Week, was a sign of big things to come in the Big Apple. A dedicated boutique opened in the SoHo neighborhood on Feb. 14 at 68 Greene St., the same day as its Fall 2012 show attended by actor Gerard Butler and model Petra Nemcova, among others. This is Diesel’s first and, to date, only shop dedicated to the Black Gold label, and currently on offer are many of the flashy denim outfits and mini-dresses that showed on the runway five months ago.
